The Hooster

The Hooster is a common farm animal in Iran, and their eggs are purchased solely by McDonalds and used in the Egg McMuffin.

Hooster eggs are quite large, in fact 14 Egg McMuffins can be made from a single egg, but the Hooster lets out quite a loud squeal, then races around it's enclosure every time it lays one.

A Hooster lays an egg at the exact same time every day, you can set your watch by it, and this led to Hooster racing being a favorite pastime among Iranian Hooster farmers.
