Carla, you see Once again Cliff is interrupted without being able to give us his spin on things. The truth: Odds are no matter what Cliff said, he would have been wrong. There is no scientific evidence cats, dogs or other animals know when an earthquake is coming. However, there are people that believe that they can, and in support of the theory, claim many instances of animals fleeing just before a quake. They also cite the fact that reports of missing pets rise seven fold after an earthquake. Should animals be able to predict quakes, the most likely way is that they can feel the Earth vibrate before humans or detect electrical changes in the air or gas released from the Earth. This might shake you up.....or not:
