With the recent strides in genetic engineering, I mean, we'll soon be faced with the possibility of producing enormous farm animals to feed the hungry millions. Now imagine one cow to feed an entire city, one egg making an omelette for an entire family. Yeah, I mean with the advances we're making today, the future is unlimited Norm.
 (Victor: "So is his mouth")

Victor is a bar patron who takes exception to Cliff's ramblings and tries to pick a fight with him.

The scene ends with this classic exchange between Norm and Cliff:

Cliff: Doesn't seem fair, does it Norm?
Norm: What?
 Cliff: Well, that I should have so much knowledge when there are people in the world that go to bed stupid every night.

The truth:

Looking into feeding a city with one animal we present these calculations:

  1. The smallest city we could find was 1,500 people.
  2. Feeding the entire city is vague as to how long so we'll go with the minimum; 1 meal.
  3. We are guessing that 1/4 pound can feed one person so to feed the city will take 425 pounds of meat.
  4. A cow can easily weigh 900 pounds and 1/2 of it can be edible so a  900 pound cow can easily feed our city.

Now if we look at the omelette, an ostrich egg is equivalent to about 24 chicken eggs, so one egg can easily feed a family.
