Sam comes back after selling his bar
to a large corporation. He wants a job as a bartender, but
Cheers already has a head bartender, Wayne, who knows how to
make every drink in existence.
Sam gets the job, but Woody is the one
to get fired, till they bet Wayne that someone orders a drink
he doesn't know how to make.
Norm enters Cheers and orders a
Screaming Viking, followed by every one else in the bar and
even though Wayne knows there is no such drink, he quits.
Cliff also orders a Screaming
Viking just before starting in on a little rant... |
|
I think I'll
have a screaming Viking, although the name itself is a misnomer
since the Vikings were not actually the murderous plunderers...
(Carla: "Would
you shut up!")
The truth:
Cliff is correct on this one, the Vikings were explorers and
traders, not murderous plunders as they have been portrayed.
Some brutal
facts about Vikings:
-
Some of our days of the week come from Viking gods.

-

-
Frigga's day (Friday) is named for Odin's wife, Frigga, the
"mother goddess".
-
Vikings had the first democratic society in the world.

Only one Viking helmet has ever been found, in a Viking grave
in south Norway. It did not have horns.
