Coca-Cola merchandise has always been a big seller, with collectors looking for things that are rare and not just the standard merchandise. One very special piece of merchandise that Coca-Cola came out with was for the Alliance Theatre Company. These bottles are known as the Alliance Theatre Company 2001-2002 Season Prototype Coca-Cola Bottle in Tube with Tag.

These were originally produced as part of a fund-raising campaign in 2001. However, these bottles arrived too late in the season for the fundraiser and sixty-two bottles were destroyed. Only sixty bottles remained intact and were placed in tubes. Forty-eight of them were handed out to the biggest patrons and the staff of the theatre. None of the rare bottles were ever put out into the public. In 2002 there were plans for a second edition but production was never started on these. Each of these rare Coca-Cola bottles is numbered in gold ink and has a numbered tag attached to it. The tube is also numbered.

One of these bottles can be bought for $199.00. How long this price will remain this way is unsure though as they are usually bought for $350.00.
