Ansel Adams, the famous photographer who is adored art lovers everywhere is best known for his excellent nature photographs as well as for his work in environmental preservation. Adams’ work was acknowledged by the Interior Department’s with the highest civilian honour, the Conservation Service Award. He received this honour “in recognition of your many years of distinguished work as a photographer, artist, interpreter and conservationist, a role in which your efforts have been of profound importance in the conservation of our great natural resources.” He was honoured again in 1980 with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for “his efforts to preserve this country’s wild and scenic areas, both on film and on earth.”

There is now a wonderful photograph available that shows Ansel Adams’ signature. The signature is signed and dated on a 3.25” x 4” glossy. The signature is authentic and the date is September 11, 1979, perhaps making it even more of a collector’s item for those that like to have memories of past history with more modern day events.
