Pictures and info on the Barnack Edition demo camera.
With all the modern digital
cameras out today including video cameras and web cams, it’s nice to pay tribute
to the cameras that got it all started! There is now available a Barnack
1879-2004 Edition available that will satisfy the taste buds of collectors and
avid photographers alike.
This set has been released to mark the 125th
anniversary of Oskar Barnack and includes a number of wonderful items. The set
comes with a wonderful new edition based on the design of the first Leica 35mm
camera. This type of camera is called the Leica “Prototype 2.” The camera is
fully functional so one will be able to show off their true one-of-a-kind piece!
Also in the set, one will receive one of the ten original prints, which are
created from the original negatives used by Oskar Barnack. These prints are of
the finest quality and are all hand-printed in the house of Leica. To preserve
the true quality and finish of these prints, they are all printed on Baryte
paper.
Also included in the set is a DVD with German,
Japanese, and English options that shows exclusive film material of Oskar
Barnack. Included with the DVD is a book, which shows the same material that can
be seen on the DVD. And in every set is a hand-signed certificate. The entire
set is available for $1399.00.
