The company Schmid was a company that made many different collectables however they specialized in music boxes or musical knick-knacks that were most popular in licensed editions such as Beatrix Potter, Disney, and the Peanuts Gang. Because Schmid went out of business in 1995, these pieces are extremely rare and always increasing in value.

Schmid manufactured many different Mickey Mouse music boxes portraying Mickey Mouse and his many friends including Goofy, Pluto, and Minnie. Prior to 1986, these musical pieces were licensed under Walt Disney Productions and after 1986 they were licensed under the Walt Disney Company. One of these famous figurines is the “Mickey Mouse Sorcerer’s Apprentice.” The piece displays Mickey as he was seen in “Fantasia” with his blue wizard’s cap featuring white moons and stars, a red gown, and yellow shoes. The piece is hand-painted. The Mickey statue stands at twelve inches and plays the tune “When You Wish Upon a Star.”

This Mickey musical is sure to be a dream for Disney fans as it commemorates one of the best loved Disney movies of all time. This piece, when it can be found, can be purchased for $150.00.
