Pictures and info on the 1977 New York Yankees World Champions bat.

1977 was a big year for the New York Yankees. Managed by Billy Martin, the team had an astounding season with their stats totalling 100-62. Their success was continued throughout the post season. It was here that they faced and defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games. This victory led them to win their first World Series since 1962. This World Series is most known for the three home runs that Reggie Jackson hit in that decisive sixth game. The Yankees were able to win the game at home in Yankee Stadium.

To commemorate this Series, there is a New York Yankees 1977 World Champions Bat that has been signed by twenty members of the team. These twenty members include: Bucky Dent, Chris Chambliss, Graig Nettles, Cliff Johnson, Reggie Jackson, Ed Figueroa, Roy White, Lou Piniella, Mickey Rivers, Paul Blair, Mike Torrez, Sparky Lyle, Ron Guirdy, Dell Alston, Dave Bergman, Ken Clay, Don Gullett, Marty Perez, Stan Thomas, and Jimmy Wynn.

Steiner Sports offers a Certificate of Authenticity with these limited edition bats. The bat is available for $1,329.05.
