Pictures and info on the Farmall Super M tractor.
Mention the word ‘collectible’ to
anyone and one of the items that pops into their head is likely to be vehicular
models. Collectible models are hugely popular in the world of transportation and
those include cars, trucks, boats, and trains, to name just a few of the most
common. Now available to be added to the world of collector’s models is the
Farmall Super M Tractor.
The company Farmall replaced its “M” model with the
Super M in 1952. The new improvements included an increase in engine
displacement up to 263.9 cubic inches. This gave the gasoline version a
twenty-two percent power boost, and to the diesel version it gave a thirty-two
percent power boost. Being that this tractor had over forty horsepower, it was
considered to be one of the most powerful among other tractors of its day. Even
with the new improvements, the Super M was taken out of production in 1954.
This replica model is 1:16 to scale and features
graphics that are true to the era and cover both of the sides and the hood. The
hood is also decorated with a grey exhaust stack. Just like the original, this
model also features clamshell fenders, a silver seat, and a functional steering
wheel that steers the tricycle front axle. And for those that love tinkering
with things, the belt pulley can also be pulled to allow the tractor to be
hitched to other 1:16 scale vintage models.
The Farmall Super M Tractor is available for $30.99.
