Majors in 1951 and spent his entire 18 year career with the New York Yankees and
Mickey Mantle's rookie card is one of the most sought after baseball cards ever.
Most people are familiar with his 1952 Topps #311
rookie card, but in 1951 Bowman also issued his rookie card (card #253).
The 1951 Bowman rookie card can be had in decent
condition for about $5,000.00 while the 1952 Topps card will run $10,000.00 with
prices skyrocketing with higher grades.
Having either of Mickey Mantle's rookie cards would be
something to brag about, but having them both would make you one cool collector.
