on Amazon.com, at least in 2005, was a set of $94,000 diamond earring.
According to the article from Diamonds.net, the
drop diamond earrings certified by the Gemological Institute of America. The
carat weight was 8.34-carat and had two 2.5-carat yellow diamonds and two
1-carat white diamonds. The setting was platinum and 18-karat gold.
Diamond jewelry sales were hot during the
Thanksgiving and Christmas season during 2005 with many purchases over $100,000.
Blue Nile sold a 5-carat diamond solitaire for $170,000 and a 3-carat diamond
engagement ring for $114,000 during the same season.
