If you enjoyed watching Band of Brothers, the ten-part World War II mini-series, then you are not alone; however, you probably did not know that you were enjoying the most expensive TV mini-series ever produced.

Band of Brothers produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks in association with HBO, cost 125 million to create and took nine months to shoot. The entire mini-series was filmed at Hatfield Studios, Hertfordshire, UK beginning in March 2000.

The story was based on the true story of Easy Company the 506th Regiment of the American 101st Airborne Division who operated behind enemy lines and captured Hitler's Bavarian Alps hideaway.
