WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE HOAX
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the most expensive hoax in the world?
The world's most expensive joke
was carried out on a British television reality show called Space Cadets with
the culmination occurring on December 16 2005.
Twelve gullible contestants were selected to compete
for three spots to become the first British televised space tourists.
They were told they would be training in Russia, but
the plane they boarded flew around in circles for four hours before landing and
taking the suckers to an elaborate set at Bentwaters Park in Suffolk.
On December 16 2005 the three winners Keri Hasset, Paul
French and Billy Jackson were preparing for a space walk but where shown a shot
of the outside of the fake shuttle along with an audience including friends and
winners, or in this case losers, did get £25,000 each and the total cost of the
world's most expensive hoax came to £4.5M GBP.
