We all know how expensive a
divorce can be, however, when it comes to celebrities the cost can be
astronomical. Here is the list of the most expensive expensive celebrity divorces to date.
As reported by a top Forbes magazine the 10 most costly divorce settlements include:
Michael Jordan is in the process of getting a
divorce from his wife of 18 years, Juanita Vanoy. Vanoy filed for divorce and
with Jordan receiving the majority of his fortune during the marriage, Juanita
could receive half of his wealth, which is over $150 million. This would be the
largest celebrity divorce settlement.
Second on the list are Neil Diamond and his divorce
from Marcia Murphey. They were married in 1969 and divorced in 1996. The
estimated settlement given to Marcia was $150 million.
Steven Spielberg’s first marriage had a prenuptial
agreement, however it was written on a napkin. Amy Irving received a nice chunk
of change during the divorce in 1989, at around $100 million since she did not
have legal representation at the time of signing the napkin; therefore, the
pre-nuptial agreement was null and void.
Harrison Ford’s first wife Melissa Mathison
received around $85 million in their divorce for films that were created during
their marriage.
