What is the most expensive pen in the world?
All writers or at least many of
them love the idea of pen and ink. Even many artists love the idea of unique
fountain pens with inkwells to create their unique paintings. There are even
many people the world over that has a collection of all kinds of pens.
Well, on February 8, 2007 a fountain pen was
unveiled that is the most expensive pen in the world. Van Cleef & Arpels, which
is a jewelry house, created a limited edition of a writing instrument called the
Mystery Masterpiece. The creation of this unique writing utensil took over 18
months of creative design.
You can choose from three unique variations each
set complete with 20 carats of sapphires, emeralds, or rubies, and enhanced with
around 840 diamonds. There will be three versions released for a total of only
nine set in total to be sold.
Now, if you are ready to stand in line to ensure
you get the chance to purchase just one of these sets you had better have won
the lottery, as the price tag for one set is $730,000.
