created a work of art that has put his masterpiece in the same price range of
artwork by Pablo Picasso and Gustav Klimt.
Damien Hurst was commissioned by David Beckman to sculpt the piece as a type of
consolation for Victoria since the Queen did not grant her the status of “Lady”.
This masterpiece has been christened "For the Love of God" by the Damien.
This unique skull is worth between 50 and 90 million United States dollars. This
art piece is a life-sized, platinum skull covered with 8,601 diamonds totaling
1,106.18 carats, and weighs 63 pounds. Rumor has it this is the exact weight of
Public viewing begins on June 3, 2007 at the White Cube Gallery in London.
