What is the most expensive new home in Britain?

There’s no doubt that new homes are expensive but there is a new home in London, England that has taken this concept to the extreme. The home is about to be occupied by Lev Leviev, the Israeli billionaire that in 2006 was ranked as the 278th richest person in the world. His two children and wife, Olga, will be moving into the home with him.

Architect William Bertram took a break from his retirement to draft plans for the house when it was originally going to be built for Mansour Namaki. However, Namaki decided to relocate to Regent’s Park instead.

The house is located on a street that is quite famous in itself. It’s a private street where Lulu and Ringo Starr once owned their own home. The house stands at a massive 17,000 square feet and has some of the finest amenities including an indoor swimming pool, decorated in gold, a movie theatre, a hair salon, a gym, an elevator to hold six people, and a nightclub. Because everyone needs a nightclub in their house.

Such a house would need only the most advanced security and this house has it all. It includes a $100,000 armour-plated door, a total of 25 infrared cameras, and a barrier that secludes the home from the outside world.

While it sure is fancy, to own the home such as Leviev does, you’ll need to pony up 35 million pounds.
