What are the most expensive champagne glasses in the world?
A good champagne glass cannot be
overestimated and that’s certainly true when it comes to the glasses designed by
John Calleija.
This pair of glasses holds white
and a very rare argyle pink colored diamonds, over 1,700 to be in fact. They are
intrinsically hand-crafted using only the best, of course, 8 kilogram blocks of
quart crystal.
With fifteen carats of diamonds in
total and weighing just over half a pound each, each glass stands at just about
six inches tall.
A private buyer who remains
unnamed, bought the glasses almost before they were on the market and plans on
keeping them as family heirlooms. And pricey ones at that! The pair cost the
buyer $400,000 USD.
