WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE MARTINI
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What is the most expensive martini in the world?
Holding a martini glass in your
hand instantly symbolizes that you are a person of wealth, or at least of
sophistication. This widely recognized drink has been given social status as the
world’s best after-work cocktail, and has also gained mainstream popularity with
such dignified movie characters such as James Bond giving it the classic tag
line of ‘shaken, not stirred.’ And while it may be hard to imagine that a simple
combination of gin and vermouth might be enough to give it the title of most
elegant drink, there’s one particular martini that qualifies as the world’s most
expensive martini. And the ingredients used in it are not even of enough
high-quality to spend too much time talking about.
The quality, or even the kind, of alcohol that is
used in the pricey drink, Martini on the Rock, is of little importance. What
matters is what sits at the bottom of the glass, a beautiful diamond engagement
ring. The drink is served at the Blue Bar, located in the Algonquin Hotel in New
York City. A crystal glass holds the Grey Goose vodka, and the engagement ring,
and it comes served on a genuine silver platter.
If you want a very special and a very unique way to
propose to someone, you can expect to pay about $10,000 for the Martini on the
Rock. But the actual price will depend upon the ring itself as jewellers do the
shopping after a one-on-one consultation. Because of this visitation, the
shopping, and the whole grandeur of it, the Blue Bar requires 72 hours notice
when ordering a Martini on the Rock.
