WORLD'S MOST EXPENSIVE
RACEHORSE
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the most expensive racehorse in the world?
Amazingly the record for the most
expensive racehorse dates back to 1985 when Robert Sangster and some
partners paid $13.1 million USD for Seattle Dancer.
Seattle Dancer was sired by Nijinsky II and is half
brother to Seattle Slew, a Triple Crown winner.
One of the reasons the record for the most expensive
racehorse hasn't been broken since might be the fact that Seattle Dancer only
won twice out of the five races he ran, returning a measly $150,000.00 to the owners
in prize money.
When it
was time to go where all great horses go after their racing career, the stud
farm, Seattle Dancer was once again a big disappointment, unable to generate any
further revenue.
