What is the most expensive divorce in the world?
The most expensive divorce on
record goes to Rupert Murdoch and his wife Anna Murdoch.
They were married during the
1960’s and Rupert developed his worldwide media empire once he inherited his
father’s Australian newspaper in 1952.
They were married for a total of
32 years and had three children.
When the divorce was finalized in June of 1999, Rupert
agreed to pay his wife $1.7 billion worth of his assets with $110 million of it
in cash.
Only 17 days after the divorce was final Rupert
married one of his employees Wendi Deng.
