Who is the world's fastest man?
The 100 meter dash is the race that determines the
world's fastest man as it did on May 2008 when Jamaican, Usain Bolt posted
9.72 seconds, breaking the current record by 0.02 seconds and giving him the
title of the world's fastest man.
Usain Bolt dethroned Asafa Powell for the title which
was set at 9.74 seconds on September 9, 2007.
The
record was set at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York.
UPDATE: August 17, 2008
On August 16, 2008 during the Games of the XXIX
Olympiad in Beijing, China, Usain Bolt bettered his world record while capturing
the gold medal.
Usain Bolt covered the 100 meters in a blistering 9.69
second while even managing to smile for the cameras as he approached the finish
line.
