Coney Island held the annual World Hotdog Eating
Championships on July 04, 2006.After Joey
Chestnut put downed a staggering 52 hotdogs, it was up to Takeru Kobayashi
of Japan to retain his title as the world's fastest hotdog eater and he did just
that.
In the 12 minutes that are allowed under hotdog
eating rules Takeru Kobayashi nosed out Joey Chestnut by consuming 53.75
hotdogs.
