What is the world's fastest land animal?

If you find yourself in the wilds of Africa getting chased by a cheetah, the world's fastest animal on land, you better hope there is a car close by as the cheetah can reach speeds of 70 MPH or 112 KM/H.

The cheetah can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.5 seconds, so you'd better make sure your car isn't one of them Russian imports.

The good news is that you only have to outrun the cheetah for about 500 yards as their bursts of speed are only for short distances to catch their prey. Even better news is that if you're with a group of people all you have to do is outrun the slowest one of them.
