WORLD'S FIRST APPLE COMPUTER
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's first Apple computer?
Q: What do you call an old
computer?
A: A door stop.
Well, the world's first Apple computer had more in
common with a doorstop than you may think, it was also made from wood.
On April 01 1976 Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs started
the Apple Computer Company and released the Apple I computer, which came
as a do-it-yourself kit.
A dealer from The Byte Shop ordered 100 of the things provided they came
assembled, so the two Stevens put them together and they sold for $666.66 USD.
In 1977 the Apple II was released, which came assembled
in a nice plastic case and with a color monitor, a cassette storage drive, and a
whopping 4kb of ram, all for only $1298.00 USD.
