WORLD'S FIRST MICROCHIP
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What was the world's first microchip?

The world's first monolithic integrated circuit, or microchip, was invented in 1958 by Jack Kilby, with the first successful demonstration being conducted on September 12 of that year.

The world's first microchip was about 1/2 the size of a paperclip and had only one transistor, but without it's creation you would not be reading this now.

Now-a-days it's possible to fit over 100 million transistors on a microchip of that size.
