Coca Cola can was invented in 1886 by Dr. John Stith Pemberton, a pharmacist from Atlanta, as a tonic.

The first Coca Cola can was sold on May 8 1886 at Jacob's Pharmacy in Atlanta.

In 1887 Asa Candler bought the recipe for $2,300.00 and took Coca Cola can to the top of the soft drink industry.

The first Coca Cola cans were made in 1955 for shipment to Japan and the Pacific for consumption by military personnel.
