Who was the world's first person banned from the Internet?
Getting banned from a forum is bad
enough, but getting banned from the Internet entirely?
That, along with 70 months in prison, was the sentence
given to Chris Lamprecht, also known in the hacking circle as "Minor Threat".
In 1995 Chris Lamprecht was found guilty on charges of
money laundering and in an unusual move, due to his hacking reputation, US
District Court Judge Sam Sparks ordered Chris Lamprecht to serve 70 months in
jail as well as banned him from accessing the Internet until 2003.
Chris Lamprecht was never charged with any computer
related crimes but, nevertheless, became the world's first person to be banned
from the Internet.
