WORLD'S FIRST SUPERHERO
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
Who was the world's first superhero?
We used our super power to track
down the world's first superhero (We are keeping it to comics, no mythology).
First off we present Popeye the Sailor Man who made his
debut in 1929, but we think he does not quite fit the superhero image.
Commonly accepted as the world's first superhero is
Mandrake the Magician who surfaced in 1934 in comic strips and was created by
Lee Falk.
Next we
present the first superhero to wear a costume, The Phantom, also created by Lee
Falk.
The Phantom first
appeared February 17 1936, again in comic strips.
In June 1938, Action Comics #1 was released and
Superman, the first superhero with super powers came to Earth.
Superman was created by Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel.
