The first of Stephen King's
published books was Carrie which came out in 1974.
Carrie was also the first of Stephen King's work to be
made into a movie, being released in 1976.
Some of his earlier unpublished works included Charlie,
a short story from 1959, The Aftermath, a novel from 1963 and Sword in the
Darkness, another unpublished novel from 1970.
