WORLD'S FIRST
MINIATURE GOLF COURSE

THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What was the world's first miniature golf course?

Although Thistle Dhu, meaning 'this'll do', in Pinehurst, North Carolina built in 1916, has been called the world's first miniature golf course, it is off by almost  a half a century.

Way back in 1867 it was not considered appropriate for women to swing a golf club higher than their shoulders so the St. Andrews golf club in Scotland built them an 18-hole putting green, thus creating the world's first miniature golf course.
