WORLD'S FIRST MP3 PLAYER
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's first mass-produced MP3 player?
There's a good chance you're
thinking the Diamond Multimedia Rio PMP300 which came out in September 1998.
You are wrong, the reason the the Diamond
Multimedia Rio PMP300 is often credited as being the world's first MP3 player is
that the Recording Industry Association of America filed a law suite claiming
the MP3 player promoted illegal copying of music and since the actual first MP3
player was made in Asia and it would have been hard to sue the Asian company the Recording
Industry Association of America went after the first American MP3 producer
instead.
The world's
first MP3 player was released by SaeHan Information Systems in the summer of
1998 and was called the MPMan F10.
