What was the world's first wonder of the world?
Yes, we know that there are Seven
Wonders of the World, in fact there are hundreds, if not thousands of
variations, but there was a first.
The original list is called the Seven Wonders of the
Ancient World and was compiled in the second century BC by Antipater of Sidon.
So, with that out of the way, the first wonder of the
world, as it was built first, is the Great Pyramid of Giza also called the the
Pyramid of Khufu in Egypt.
The Great Pyramid of Giza was completed after about 20 years of construction
around 2,560 BC. It is by far the oldest of the Seven Wonders and also is the
only one still
remaining.
