WORLD'S FIRST SPRING BREAK
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

When was the world's first Spring Break?

The ritual of Spring Break is very much entwined in our history and dates back to before Christ to the ancient Greeks and Romans.

Seems back then ancient Greeks and Roman in there late teens became frisky and so a ritual of drinking and dancing was held in the spring.

As Christianity grew the Spring Break tradition was banned although we can't quite figure out why.

Throughout the year variations of the Spring Break tradition were held but it wasn't until 1960 that Spring Break turned into that crazy week of drinking and dancing by American college student that migrated to Ft. Lauderdale.

And just what was responsible for that crazy Spring Break in 1960? It was the movie 'Where the Boys Are' in which four college girls drive to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for spring break and seek out adventures and romance.
