What was the world's first Dunkin’ Donuts?

In 1946 In William Rosenberg founded Industrial Luncheon Services, delivering lunches and snacks to workers around Boston, Massachusetts.

In 1948 William Rosenberg opened a donut shop named ‘Open Kettle’ in Quincy, Massachusetts.

In 1950 he changed the name from Open Kettle to Dunkin’ Donuts.

In 1955 the first Dunkin’ Donuts franchise was sold and now there are over 6,000 stores in over 30 countries.

Back to the world’s first Dunkin’ Donuts, it’s still serving up round snacks with holes in the middle at it original location; 543 Southern Artery in Quincy, Massachusetts.
