SWISS ARMY KNIFE
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's first Swiss Army knife?
Swiss native Karl Elsener owned a
company that made surgical equipment but one thing really bothered him; the
knives being supplied to the Swiss army were made in Germany.
In 1891 Karl Elsener founded the Association of Swiss
Master Cutlers with a simple business plan: Swiss knives for the Swiss army and
thus the Swiss Army knife was born.
The world's first Swiss Army knife had a wooden handle
and contained a knife blade, two screwdrivers, a can opener and an awl.
