WORLD'S FIRST DIGITAL CAMERA
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What is the world's first digital camera?
Would you believe it was December
1975 when the first digital image was taken by a camera?
This camera weighed 8 pounds, was about the size of a
toaster, had a resolution of .01 megapixels and saved the image in black and
white onto a digital cassette.
The camera was designed by Steven Sasson, an Eastman
Kodak engineer, but there was a long way to go. Kodak did not begin selling mass
produced digital cameras to the public for another 16 years.
