WORLD'S FIRST ELECTRIC GUITAR
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
Who created the world's first electric guitar?
You can credit the creation of the
electric guitar to Hawaiian music.
Ever since the invention of the guitar sometime around
the 1500's musicians have been looking for ways to amplify their music. Finally
a Hawaiian musician living in Los Angeles found the solution.
In 1931 George Beauchamp and engineer Adolph
Rickenbacker designed and built the world's first electric guitar.
The guitar was nicknamed 'Rickenbacker's
Frying Pan' because, well, it looked like a frying pan.
George Beauchamp and Adolph Rickenbacker finally
got a patent for the electric guitar in 1937.
