What was the world's first Sony Walkman?

Sony is responsible for the portable music player craze that has not stopped since it began back in 1979.

Sony bigwigs Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita came up with the idea of sticking headphones onto a cassette player and gave their developer Kozo Ohsone a staff to make it happen.

On July 01, 1979 the world's first Sony Walkman, theTPS-L2, was launched bearing a price tag to the tune of $200.00 USD.
