WORLD'S FIRST CASINO
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's first casino?
When you begin searching for the
first casino or gambling house of record, you will discover that the very first
gaming houses were around before the written word. The Nile Delta and the
Ancient Far East claim to have created the first gaming houses where during that
time there was betting on arena sports, animal races and more in China, India,
Persia, and Mongolia.
However, the first casino houses were created in
the early 1700’s along the Mediterranean Coast and known by the term casino,
which translates to mean “little house” in Italian.
The first casino on land in America was Brown’s
Saloon, which was located on the corner of Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah in 1822.
Nevada, however, was the first state to offer legal
casino-style gambling in 1931. The El Rancho Vegas Hotel & Casino built in 1941
was the first casino in Las Vegas.
