WORLD'S FIRST TELEPHONE CALL
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the world's first telephone call?
Alexander Graham Bell invented the
telephone, we're sure you knew that, but when was the first call made and what
was said?
The words 'Mr.
Watson, come here, I want you!' were first uttered into a telephone in Boston,
Massachusetts on March 10 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell to his assistant Thomas
Watson.
The phone was
made of a wooden stand, a funnel, a cup of acid, and copper wire which
transmitted his voice to Mr. Watson listening in on a receiver in another room.
