WORLD'S FIRST DOGFIGHT
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

When was the world's first dogfight?

The credit for the world's first dogfight goes to South African Royal Flying Corps pilot Lieutenant Norman Spratt and an unknown German pilot.

On August 28, 1914 Lieutenant Norman Spratt, in his Sopwith Tabloid, engaged a German plane in combat and forced it down.

The amazing thing about the world's first dogfight, Lieutenant Norman Spratt did not fire a single bullet, he didn't have any, instead he forced the plane down by diving at it from above.
