The first Line Rider ever

WORLD'S FIRST
LINE RIDER

THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What was the world's first Line Rider?

You have Sony coming out with their super powered PS3, Microsoft with their Xbox 360 and Nintendo and the Wii system, all with amazing graphics for hours of awesome game play.

Then you have Boštjan Čadež, a university student from Slovenian and his line drawn Line Rider that he created for his exam.

The graphics on Line Rider are virtually non-existent, in fact Boštjan Čadež considers Line Rider a toy, not a game, but since it's release on September 23, 2006 it has swept the internet by storm resulting in countless millions of work hours wasted by people playing with it when they should have been working.

The premise is simple, draw a bunch of lines and curves, even do loops and jumps, then press 'play' and watch a little stick guy with a red scarf slide up and down the hills and hope he doesn't fall off his sled.

Line Rider has spawned many websites where you can play, even copycat versions like Line Flyer where the little stick guy rides a BMX bike instead of a sled, but the original Line Rider, created by Boštjan Čadež, is hosted at deviantart.

One nice feature of Line Rider is that you can make videos of your creation and save them or upload them to share, many are hosted at You Tube, one of the best is called 'Linerider Jumps the Shark'.
