When was the world's first NFL telecast?

If your a true football fan you couldn't imagine a Sunday without football on TV but that's one of the hardships Americans had to endure before Sunday, October 22, 1939.

October 22, 1939 saw the first television broadcast of an NFL a NFL game and featured the Philadelphia Eagles and the Brooklyn Dodgers.

While some 13,050 fans saw the game at Ebbets Field, a lucky 500 or so people that owned televisions in New York at that time got relax at home and watch it on W2XBS.

The RCA Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair also showed the game to the fair-goers.

We almost forgot to mention that the Brooklyn Dodgers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 23-14.
