AUSTRALIA'S FIRST AVIATOR
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
Who was the first Australian aviator?
Not only was Harry Houdini
the world's best escape artist, he was also a very skilled pilot.
While on a trip to Australia in 1910 Harry Houdini was
urged to bring along his Voisin biplane and make an attempt at becoming
Australia's first aviator.
There were several attempts by other pilots prior to Houdini's flight but they all resulted
in crashes.
On March 18,
1910 Harry Houdini successfully flew his Voisin biplane at Digger's Rest in
Victoria on three separate
flights and indeed did become Australia's first aviator.
