WORLD'S FIRST
VIRTUAL MILLIONAIRE

THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

Who was the world's first virtual millionaire?

Next time someone criticizes you for playing online games you can refer them to Anshe Chung, the world's first virtual millionaire.

In early 2004 Anshe Chung began playing Second Life with an investment of $9.95 for an account.

Second Life is a 3-D virtual world entirely built and owned by its residents and since it opened to the public in 2003 millions of residents have inhabited the world.

The backbone of Second Life is the marketplace where members can buy, sell and trade digital goods using a currency called the Linden dollar, which can be converted to US dollars at several online currency exchanges.

The real money, however, is in virtual real estate, of which Anshe Chung owns a lot, enough in fact that after only 2 1/2 years of Trump-like developing her net worth surpassed one million dollars in November 2006, making her the world's first virtual millionaire.
