WORLD'S FIRST LASER PRINTER
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

What was the world's first laser printer?

In 1971 Gary Starkweather, a Xerox researcher, came up with a way for a laser beam to combine with the xerography process, essentially creating the world's first laser printer by modifying a Xerox copier.

The first commercial laser printer was not released until 1975 when IBM introduced the IBM 3800 laser printer, capable of printing 20,000 lines per minute, the only drawback, it's huge.

The Xerox Star 8010 was the first laser printer made for an individual computer but it cost $17,000.00 back in 1981.
