WORLD'S FIRST 200 MPH CAR
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
What was the first car to reach 200 MPH?
As Henry Segrave sat in his Sunbeam 1000 hp on Daytona Beach on March 29,
1927 he knew what he had to do, he had to please the 15,000+ onlookers that came
to see the Sunbeam recapture the World land speed record.
Henry Segrave did not disappoint, after a couple of test runs he got the
Sunbeam up to a sandy 203.79 MPH or 327.97 kilometers/hour over 1 mile becoming
the first driver to hit 200 MPH and making his Sunbeam the world's first 200 MPH
car.
