What was the world's first Frankenstein movie?

The very first Frankenstein movie version was created from Mary Shelley’s Gothic 1818 novel Frankenstein. The first movie came out in 1931 with the name of Frankenstein with director James Whale.

Of course, the movie had Victorian undertones under the production of Carl Laemmle Jr. for Universal Pictures. During this time, the movie Dracula was also produced which saved the studio.

A sequel was created in 1935, The Bride of Frankenstein.

If you do not know much about Frankenstein, he was created in a laboratory by a mad scientist. The mad scientist was portrayed by Colin Clive and Frankenstein was Boris Karloff. This monster terrorized the Bavarian countryside until his demise.
